Cookies and tracking

Last updated 8 August 2026

Short version: Thorio sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and there is no tracking banner to dismiss because there is nothing to consent to. The only browser storage we use keeps you signed in and remembers how many listings you have opened.

What is stored in your browser

  • Sign-in session. When you sign in, your session token is stored by your browser so you stay signed in between visits. Signing out clears it. This is strictly necessary for accounts to work.
  • Free listing counter. A small local value records how many full listings you have opened, so the free allowance can be applied. It contains no personal details.

What we do not use

No analytics cookies, no advertising or retargeting pixels, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party behavioural profiling. We do not measure you across other websites, and there is no advertising network involved in this site.

Third-party requests your browser makes

  • Google Fonts. Our typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so your browser requests those files from Google on page load. Google receives your IP address and standard request headers as a result. This happens on every page, whether or not you have an account. Blocking third-party fonts in your browser prevents it, and the site still works using fallback system fonts.
  • Stripe. Only when you start a checkout. Stripe's own pages and scripts handle the payment and may set cookies necessary for fraud prevention and to complete the transaction.
  • Google sign-in. Only if you choose to sign in with Google, which sends you to Google's own sign-in pages.

Controlling this

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the sign-in session will sign you out and prevent account features from working. For the full picture of what we collect and who receives it, see the privacy policy, or email privacy@thorio.co.
